NOTD: Diamond Cosmetics Cherry Tobacco

Diamond Cosmetics Cherry Tobacco

This is so pretty! We aren't getting much sun right now, but if we were you'd be able to see the beautiful maroon shimmer in this polish that shows up in the sun. Of course my pic is of a day-old mani, so you'll see a little tip wear since I shuffle paper all day at work.

Brooke at Getcha Nails Did has a much better picture. I am definitely going to be placing another Diamond order soon- I love these polishes!

I am still here!

So sorry I have been MIA, ladies! I won't bore you with excuses. Ha ha! For those of you who are wondering who the heck this random poster is, I am April from dot...dot...dot...! I don't get to post on a weekly basis (and have been slackin' here for the last couple months), because I have solar nails and only get them filled every 2-3 weeks. I always get colored tips, cuz I get bored with the traditional (although so classy!) french tips. I wish the acrylic powders had fun names like OPI's colors - they probably do, but the girls at the salon claim they don't have names - so I just snap a pic of my color of the month. Does anyone else have solar nails? If so, what colors do you like to rock?
Here is my latest set ... these are actual tips, not powder. I just had a new set put on (you gotta do that every now and then to keep 'em fresh lookin'), and the tips are like a glittery fuschia color. I have them shaped square with rounded corners. See ya in a few weeks! :o)

NOTD: Finger Paints Candy Cane Shimmer

Finger Paints Candy Cane Shimmer

Things have gotten so crazy busy lately.... I'm embarrassed to say I painted my nails Monday night but just now got around to taking a pic! Hence the tip wear. You may also notice my nails are shorter. I had two nails break and I just decide it wasn't worth mending so I trimmed them all down.

This is one of the polishes Brooke from Getcha Nails Did gave me and I absolutely love it! Easy application and so shimmery- people at work have even commented on it. Thanks Brooke!

NOTD: Essie Wild Thing

Essie Wild Thing

Last night before bed I painted my nails and didn't get a chance to take a pic until after I got off work today- hence the tip wear. Maybe Essie and SV don't work well together? I don't use Essie enough to know. I imagine applying another coat of polish to the tips would have helped.

This was the second Essie I purchased- my first was It's Genius, which I still love. But Wild Thing was a disappointment. The bottle has beautiful blue and silver glitter in it, but someone that doesn't end up on your nails. Save for the two pieces of blue glitter I can find on my nails, it looks like just another pinkish red.

NOTD: Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm

Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm

This polish is absolutely gorgeous. And for a $2 nail polish, I'm in disbelief about how wonderfully it applies. I think Diamond Cosmetics may be one of my new favorite brands!

I first heard about this company from Brooke at Getcha Nails Did and I am so glad I took her advice and ordered.

My indoor pics don't quite capture the holo quality of the polish, but trust me, it's amazing in the sun. Brooke has some pictures that show it a little better.

This is two coats topped with SV. I'm on day 3 and I have hardly any tip wear BTW.
