Finger Paints Rock Hard Lilac

Finger Paints Rock Hard Lilac
2 coats, no topcoat

from the Rock My World Collection (2014)

Last week I got a special mailer from Sally Beauty reminding me to renew my club membership, and offering me a free Finger Paints polish if I did so. Yay! So of course I rushed to Sally Beauty and picked a shade from the newest Finger Paints collection called Rock My World.

Not only are these metallic, they are also textured. I am in love- it dried super fast and I think the texture effect looks great in this gorgeous lilac.

Bring on Fall! The color just screams fall to me and I am loving it.

I've seen other bloggers mention having trouble applying this, but I had no trouble at all using it over a coat of CND Stickey. In fact, it was almost a one-coater.

NOTD: Finger Paints Decked With Dazzle

Finger Paints Decked With Dazzle

Finally some sun! This is an outside shot and really represents the true color. It's very pretty. And at two coats, I'm very happy!

I ran across some of the Revlon ColorStay topcoat at Big Lots, and I know a lot of people use this under their Seche Vite, so I gave that a try. I must say, I see no shrinkage and no tip wear on day 3, so I'm pretty impressed. The picture above was taken on day 2.

NOTD: Finger Paints Icy Iris

Finger Paints Icy Iris topped with Seche Vite

This is one of the gorgeous Finger Paints Holiday 2009 polishes that Brooke gave me right before the holidays at our beer-and-wing night, and I must say her swatches are so much more representative of the actual color than mine- so go see hers too!

I was a little worried about this color after the first coat because it was very uneven. I didn't need to worry, though, because a second coat fixed it nicely and I didn't even need a third.

NOTD: Finger Paints Candy Cane Shimmer

Finger Paints Candy Cane Shimmer

Things have gotten so crazy busy lately.... I'm embarrassed to say I painted my nails Monday night but just now got around to taking a pic! Hence the tip wear. You may also notice my nails are shorter. I had two nails break and I just decide it wasn't worth mending so I trimmed them all down.

This is one of the polishes Brooke from Getcha Nails Did gave me and I absolutely love it! Easy application and so shimmery- people at work have even commented on it. Thanks Brooke!

It's a Girls Night Out

Brooke from Getcha Nails Did and I met for wings and beer on Tuesday night and we had a fabulous time! I was in need of some "girl time" and chatting with a fellow nail polish addict really did the trick.

Brooke was so sweet and had a fabulous bag of goodies for me. I am dying to try the Finger Paints polish because I've never used that brand before and they are gorgeous!

Thanks again Brooke- can't wait to do it again when your RBL order comes in! :-)
