Happy 4th of July!

Sally Hansen Color Frenzy in Red White & Hue
1 coat over red

Happy 4th of July! Here's a shot of a favorite 4th of July mani. This glitter topper is a clear base with red, white and blue glitters in both bigger and small sizes. Just one coat gave great coverage. Hope my fellow Americans have a fun day celebrating!

Sally Hansen 4th of July Shades

Today I've got some swatches of shades of some Sally Hansen polish perfect for a 4th of July mani.

Street style is driving the conversation in fashion, but it's not just about the clothes you wear. This kind of style requires a daring attitude, eye-catching patterns, and the bold colors to match. The new, limited-edition collection of Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri® nail polish offers the perfect assortment of urban-inspired shades. Borrowing from the city-cool of graffiti tags and street art, these new shades are tailored for women with an independent spirit and a unique style all their own.

 Sally Hansen Quick Brick
2 coats

I am in love with this jelly-ish shade. Two coats is perfection and it's a gorgeous cherry red.

 Sally Hansen Tag, Ur It!
2 coats

Sally Hansen does white so well- this is also just 2 coats and the coverage is opaque and even. Shades like this are a staple in every collection.

Sally Hansen Vandal Eyes

This delicate baby blue is quite pretty. There is a slight shimmer that looks so pretty in the sun.

SinfulColors Star Blast Off

Today I've got a swatch of the glitter topcoat from the SinfulColors Having A Blast Collection for the 4th of July.

SinfulColors Star Blast Off
1 coat over light blue

Star Blast Off contains small white glitter, larger red and blue hex glitter, and white star glitter. Although the base is slightly tinted pink, it really didn't seem to affect the base color of my mani at all. The stars were a bit difficult to get on the brush, but I didn't do any fishing just to show you how this would look without any extra effort. This would make a fabulous Fourth of July mani!

PRICE/AVAILABILITY:
$1.99 at Walgreens and other mass retailers for July 2015.

You can find SinfulColors online:

SinfulColors Having A Blast Collection

Today I've got some shades from the SinfulColors Having A Blast Collection for the 4th of July.

 SinfulColors Hot Spot
2 coats

I love this gorgeous shimmering cobalt blue. The formula gave great coverage in 2 coats.

SinfulColors Out of This World
2 coats

This glimmering silver might have had better coverage with 3 coats, but I stopped at 2 and didn't mind the VNL.

SinfulColors Ruby Ruby
2 coats

Although not unique, this classic deep red has a great formula.

 SinfulColors Snow Me White
2 coats

Some whites don't cover evenly, but this one was perfect. This will be a staple for me in my collection.

SinfulColors Green Ocean
1 coat over white

I topped the white with this glitter-flecked emerald, which I found to be a puzzling part of this collection. It was a pretty neat effect though.

1 coat over white

You can see the opalescent flecks a bit more in this shade pic.

Two other shades in the collection are Blue By You, a pearlescent royal blue, and Star Blast-Off, a star-spangled red, white and blue confetti.

PRICE/AVAILABILITY:
$1.99 each at Walgreens and other mass retailers for July 2015.

Another 4th of July mani

Sasha's 2012 4th of July manicure featuring nails inc.
red = st. james (classic blue red)
blue = baker street (cobalt blue)

I just remembered how much I loved last year's 4th of July mani. I got so many compliments on it and Baker Street had become so popular I just had to include it.

Each color required only 2 coats to get perfect coverage. I continue to be impressed with nails inc. Creams are usually hard for me to apply for some reason, but I had absolutely no problem with these.

nails inc shades are available at Sephora and retail for $9.50.

Happy 4th of July!

Pure Ice Siren with accent of Pure Ice Superstar! on ring finger (2 coats of each)
topped with Pure Ice Freedom (1 coat)

I was recently contacted and asked if I would like to try some shades from Pure Ice's Stars & Stripes collection. How fun!

This glitter topper is great! I only needed one coat to get the great coverage you see above. Although I only got one star out, I still loved the look I ended up with. Note that Siren does stain your fingers a bit upon removal.

All Pure Ice nail enamels are free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP and contain a patented salon long-wear formula for a look that will last. Retailing at only $1.99, these polishes are the perfect way to bring chic looks from the runway your way with out breaking the bank! Pure Ice nail enamels are available through www.pureicecosmetics.com and Walmart stores nationwide.
