I am VERY impressed!

I originally painted my nails last Tuesday night, and took this photo today (Monday). That's a good 6 days of wear and they still look amazing- very shiny, very little tip wear, and no chips. Note: My ring finger was repainted Thursday night due to a break and repair, so it only has 4 days of wear, but look how amazing it looks- absolutely no tip wear on that finger at all!

Memento retails for $16. I'm pretty sure it's my new favorite topcoat. It dried unbelievably fast and I just can't get over how little tip wear I've got after 6 days. I don't even feel the need to repaint my nails today.

The All Decked Out collection was inspired by beaches and the summer sun and is full of calming and cool tones that reminded Elle, the Color Curator for Dermelect, of a sea shell.

 

I found all four shades to apply wonderfully. I think a third of the sheer beige, A Shore Thing, might have added a bit more coverage, but since it's supposed to be sheer, I stopped at two since I liked the look. Lazy Daze was surprisingly opaque in just two coats, and so pretty, but my favorite of the collection is Dune My Thing.

 

Dermelect recommends using the shades without a separate base coat since they have ingredients to help strengthen the nails. They have also recently released a new cuticle oil called Revital-Oil that is peptide infused as well as a topcoat called Memento that can help a mani up to 9 days. I plan on giving these two products a try over the next week. Watch for an upcoming review of these two products.

Lustrous, described as "sparkling cognac" was gorgeous. I love the glass-fleck quality. I did find I needed 3 coats to get complete even coverage.

Dermelect Gilded

2 coats (intended to be worn without topcoat)

Gilded, described as "textured patina", in meant to be worn without a topcoat to show the texture. I really liked this one! I got pretty darn good coverage with one coat, but did 2 to make sure I had even coverage.

 



Dermelect Heirloom

Heirloom, described as "metallic royal sapphire" is definitely my favorite in the collection! Do you see that gorgeous pink shimmer? Enlarge that pic and check it out- it is so rich and complex! 2 coats gave great coverage so I stopped there.

Belle Epoque is described as "deep, smoky quartz crème. This shade dazzled me the least, but it was  great quality. It's such a dark brown that it almost looks black indoors.

With Awards Season in full force, Dermelect spotted some incredible emerging trends on the Red Carpets of the Met Gala, Cannes Film Festival and Billboard Music Awards. A recurrent beauty trend across the board has been the The Nude Manicure. A refreshing, chic alternative to the perennial bright Summer nail, this toned-down look has added advantages of accenting any color perfectly (as demonstrated below by Emma Stone in fuchsia, Jennifer Lopez in red, and Katie Holmes in yellow) and giving the appearance of long, elegant fingers.
