NOTD: OPI DS Classic

OPI DS Classic

Another DS shade that I am in love with- can't stop looking at my nails!

When I got the first coat on, it was pretty sheer, and I found myself thinking that it might be a grandma color... but then I got the second coat on, stepped out into the sun, and POP! There was that gorgeous shimmer my gma wouldn't have touched with a 10 foot pole.

NOTD: OPI She's Golden

OPI She's Golden

Really, really pretty. I'm finding application for colors like this and OPI for Sephora How Many Carats to be fabulous- very smooth.

This is two coats, and there's a visible nail line. I imagine 3-4 coats would have solved that, but it really doesn't bother me.

I lost some length on my pointer finger, so I really need to file the rest down to match, but that's so hard to do! I patched it several times using a silk wrap, but I suppose I use that finger too much because each time the wrap didn't last, although I haven't had any problems with several nails I patched at the same time. So you may be seeing some shorter nails from me next polish change.

NOTD: OPI Queen of West Web-erly

OPI Queen of West Web-erly
I painted these in a super hurry this AM before a day of fun with the fam, so don't judge too much! This shade morphs from purple to bronze-y purple in the sun- it's really pretty!

NOTD: OPI Pink of Hearts 2

OPI Pink of Hearts 2

Yesterday I had about 20 minutes to paint my nails before we left to meet some friends for dinner and drinks. I glanced through my untrieds, looking for something that might be a quick easy color.

I found OPI Pink of Hearts 2, and it fit the bill perfectly! Since I had already done my bonder and base coat earlier, I just slapped on two coats of POH2 and my SV, and was out the door. It's a nice, calm color that looks natural. I do like it, but I think I'll be ready for a darker color tomorrow!

NOTD: Essie It's Genius

Essie It's Genius

This has to be one of my all-time favorite colors. Every time I wear this I get compliments on my nails! I shortened them a bit because I was starting to get some breaks and I had silk patches on about half my nails... this tells me I let them get too long. I think this length will be much more manageable.

This was also my first Essie purchase. Although I do like it, I'm still an OPI girl!

A Little Topcoat Magic

OPI for Sephora How Many Carats?
topped with Cover Girl Boundless Color Ruby Dust Sparkle Topcoat

This Saturday there was craziness at my house and although I needed a new mani, there just wasn't time! I remembered that I had just purchased a few of the Cover Girl Sparkle Topcoats so I picked out the Ruby Dust one and gave it a try.

I think it turned out pretty and it gave my few-day-old mani 2 extra days of wear. That sparkle was tough to remove though- I am going to try the MUA nailboard method of using felt next time I use something that sparkly!

NOTD: OPI for Sephora How Many Carats?

OPI for Sephora How Many Carats?

This is really pretty! Don't mind the messiness- as usual, the only time I had to paint was before bed, and this morning we left for The Wild Child's surgery, and there was no time to pretty it up!

This is two coats, and you can still see my nail line, which doesn't bother me too much.

I Was Ahead of My Time

OPI Los Angeles Latte

This is the color I wore for my wedding in 1999! Doesn't it remind you of the muted shades we are seeing these days like Metro Chic? Of course, this is definitely brown, but it still reminds me of MC.

I was so excited to find this last month at Trans Design.... it was discontinued forever ago, and I had long given up getting a bottle, although I was more than likely going to cave at some point and buy some on EvilBay.
