Revisit: Sephora by OPI Glee Collection

I accidentally got quite behind on Glee, and then we had a DVR that died.... so I basically gave up in the middle of Season 3. However, I recently discovered that I could watch them on my iPad with my Amazon Instant Video app that I have since I have Prime shipping, so I decided to start back over and watch Season 3 in the mornings while getting ready for work. I finally finished last week and am obsessed with Glee all over again! So let's revisit swatches of the Glee collection from Sephora by OPI.

Let's start with the mini collection, which sold for $24.

I worked a long day today and was losing the sun, so I had to snap a quick pic after work, so please forgive the quality and lack of bottle in the pic.

The above swatch is three coats and it covered quite nicely- better than I expected.

This was the last shade for me to swatch in the collection, and I'd like to put together a post tomorrow with all the swatches in one post. I have enjoyed this collection so much! Maybe I'm biased since I love the show, but I thought the shades in this grouping were fabulous and quite wearable.

The above swatch is two coats. Mr. Sasha said he really liked this color because it was more "natural" than some of the other colors I have been wearing lately. I laughed because this is quite a bright pink! He said he just meant he likes pinks and reds more than blues, greens, and blacks. He doesn't get it, does he? :-)

I was fighting a losing battle with the sun/snow yesterday, so my pic is not that great- but this is really a pretty color and covered fabulously in two coats.

There's a lighter navy blue shimmer in the navy polish that you can see when light hits it- it's very pretty.

The above swatch is 3 coats and I am officially in LOVE with this polish!

The reason "peacock" is in the description is because there is a gorgeous purple shimmer that is somewhat hidden..... I could see it well last night when I was painting my nails in my bedroom, but in sun I just couldn't capture it on film.

If you look closely at the bottom of the bottle in my pic, you'll find it- look real hard.... do you see it?????

This is a must-have, as far as I'm concerned.

Wanted you to see the GORGEOUS hidden gold shimmer

I've got the whole Glee collection ready to swatch, but we are having terrible weather and there is no sun for swatching.

I chose Hell to the No for my first mani from this collection and I am on day 3 and don't want to take it off- that's how pretty it is.

It applied beautifully and two coats covered well. I used newly thinned SV as my topcoat and it dried well with no shrinkage.

Still deciding which Glee shade to use for my next mani... I am thinking Who Let the Dorks Out? (Sue Sylvester)

I was so excited yesterday to read about the newest Sephora by OPI collection- Glee! The picture above and info below are from Bright Lights, Big Color.

Seven shades available for individual sale will be produced, each retailing for $9.50.

• Slushied, an opaque blue
• Hell to the No, a bold purple
• Gleek Out, a lime, glittery green
• Diva-in-Training, a poppy pink
• Who Let the Dorks Out, a peacock green
• Miss Bossy Pants, a rich raspberry
• Mash-Up, a pearlescent green gray.

A mini set of six for $22 will include Miss Bossy Pants, Gleek Out and Slushied, along with three additional exclusive colors: Celibacy Club, a glimmering, diamond top coat; Express Yourself to Yourself, a coral shimmer shade, and Sue Vs Shue, a navy blue. All are dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene and formaldehyde free.

I am so looking forward to this collection! I believe it will be released in February.
