Nails Inc Bamboo White

Nails Inc Bamboo White
(2 coats)

from a collaboration with Victoria Beckham and her Victoria, Victoria Beckham collection

I recently purchased the Nails Inc Victoria, Victoria Beckham for Nails Inc. Duo Collection from Sephora for $45. The set includes Judo Red and Bamboo White. The individual shades are also available for $25 each.

Just like Judo Red, Bamboo White was amazing to apply- it is well-pigmented and gave opaque coverage in two coats. It more than just a plain white- it's a creamy off-white with a touch of pink. Since it's not so stark, it's just gorgeous. The outer rectangular part of the lid can be removed, leaving you with a regular round cap to paint with.

You'll have to pardon my short, somewhat uneven nails.... I made it through almost 3 weeks of loading and unloading cases of Girl Scout cookies without a break, but Saturday's 5 hour booth sale left me with a broken nail on my middle finger. I cut down the others as much as I could bear to.... they were such a great length and I hate when a break ruins perfect length!

Here's some info from Sephora.com: Created with an exclusive formulation, featuring Stretch-To-Fit technology and Bamboo Extract with Silica, this collectible set features two new polish shades: Judo Red, a vibrant tomato shade, and Bamboo White, a bone shade inspired and created to complement key pieces from the collection. Designed by Fabien Baron and Victoria Beckham, Nails Inc’s concave glass bottled have been reinvented for the collaboration: each bottle is made with fine Venetian glass and is hand-frosted in matte black and matte white to leave a subtle reveal window on either side.

I recently purchased the Nails Inc Victoria, Victoria Beckham for Nails Inc. Duo Collection from Sephora for $45. The set includes Judo Red and Bamboo White. The individual shades are also available for $25 each.

Judo Red was amazing to apply- well-pigmented, it pretty much gave opaque coverage in just one coat, but I added a second to get a perfect finish. They call this a tomato red, and it actually leans a bit orange, even more than you can see in the pic. I love it! The outer rectangular part of the lid can be removed, leaving you with a regular round cap to paint with.

Moto was almost a one-coater! Application was great- smooth and even. The pic above is without topcoat- it's super-glossy on its own. This would be a great dark red for your collection if you don't already have one.

OPI Shine for Me

OPI Shine for Me
(3 coats)

from the Fifty Shades of Grey collection

Shine for Me is the second shade from the right in the mini collection and is the only glitter. It's a really pretty mix of silver and two different shades of blue glitter. It got good coverage with 3 coats,  although coverage towards the tips was a bit sparse as some glitters tend to do. It's super cold here today, so don't mind my red fingers- my skin turns red quick in the cold!

I purchased my set for $21.95 at my local Ulta. I used a $3.50 off coupon to make it a bit more affordable.

OPI Bearest of Them All

OPI Bearest of Them All (1 coat)
over OPI Romantically Involved (2 coats)

Before the Christmas holidays, I purchased this set Coca-Cola themed set from OPI that included a glitter topcoat called Bearest of Them All along with a plush polar bear ornament. At first I didn't notice the heart-shaped glitter, but when I did I decided it would make for a fabulous Valentine's Day mani so I saved it. I love it and have gotten many compliments on it.

Bearest of Them All has small white glitter in two sizes, pinkish-red glitter that is a big bigger, and white heart-shaped glitter in a clear base. I used just one coat and got good coverage. It was pretty easy to get a heart on each nail- I didn't have to fish much at all to get them on my brush.

OPI Romantically Involved

OPI Romantically Involved
(2 coats)

from the Fifty Shades of Grey collection

Romantically Involved is the third shade from the left in the mini collection and is the only red. It's actually the only "color" as everything else is a shade of grey! Ha! It has good coverage and I didn't have any application problems at all. I wouldn't say it's anything special, but it's a nice red nonetheless.

I purchased my set for $21.95 at my local Ulta. I used a $3.50 off coupon to make it a bit more affordable.

OPI My Silk Tie

OPI My Silk Tie
(2 coats)

from the Fifty Shades of Grey collection

My Silk Tie is the first shade on the left in the mini collection and is the only frosty shade. Brush strokes are unavoidable, and this shade is not at all unique. I found two coats left behind some patchy spots, but wasn't bothered enough to add a third coat.

I purchased my set for $21.95 at my local Ulta. I used a $3.50 off coupon to make it a bit more affordable.

OPI Embrace the Grey

OPI Embrace the Grey
(3 coats)

from the Fifty Shades of Grey collection

Embrace the Grey is the fourth shade from the left in the mini collection and is the middle color of the three grey shades. I think it looks a little darker on the nail, as some greys tend to do. As with Cement the Deal, I had a bit of trouble getting opaque coverage with just two coats, so I added a third and was pleased. This shades suits my skintone a bit better... I felt like Cement the Deal gave me lobster hands.

I purchased my set for $21.95 at my local Ulta. I used a $3.50 off coupon to make it a bit more affordable, and although I think that was still pretty expensive for minis, I'm super glad OPI didn't stick a mini top coat in there.

OPI Cement the Deal

OPI Cement the Deal
(3 coats)

from the Fifty Shades of Grey collection
Cement the Deal is that last shade on the right and is the lightest of the crème shades. I think it looks a little darker on the nail, as some greys tend to do. I had a bit of trouble getting opaque coverage with just two coats, so I added a third and was pleased.
