Essie She's Pampered

Essie She's Pampered
2 coats

Essie She's Pampered was included in my September 2014 Glossybox. I ALWAYS get excited about nail polish in subscription boxes, and was so excited because I didn't have this shade in my collection.

She's Pampered was part of the Winter 2012 collection and retails for $8.50.

GLOSSYBOX is one of the more expensive beauty subscription services ($21 versus both Birchbox and Ipsy's $10), but the quality is *so* much better- these are high end brands! I also LOVE the beautiful, high quality boxes they send each month. They are great for drawer organizing or keeping craft products in.

GLOSSYBOX also has a great point program- if you answer their survey questions on each product after you receive it, you will receive 100 points. After you have collected 1000 points, your next box is free. So after 10 months, I will have a free box.
They also have a referral program and if you use my link to sign up, I'll receive 200 points, getting me closer to my free box! You can do the same with your friends after you sign up. During the month of October, if you sign up for a 3, 6, or 12-month subscription, you can use the promo code GBGLAM to receive a FREE deluxe sample-sized GlamGlow Youth Mud ($19 value) with any new subscription.

Ciaté Skinny Dip

Ciaté Skinny Dip
3 coats

Skinny Dip was included in my April 2014 Glossybox. I ALWAYS get excited about nail polish in subscription boxes, but I set this one aside to use later in the year because I thought it was a great Fall shade that would make a perfect Halloween mani.

Skinny Dip was part of the Bottled Sunshine collection. Ciaté shades retail for $15. I just love the bottle- the bow is just adorable. I found the wand to be easy to hold and use. The polish was a bit thin, but after three coats I was pleased with the coverage.

SpaRitual Magnify

SpaRitual Magnify
2 coats

A few months ago, after doing quite a bit of research on beauty subscription boxes, I decided to give GLOSSYBOX a try. In the past, I have subscribed to both Birchbox and Ipsy, but discontinued those because I seemed to get products that I never used.
GLOSSYBOX *is* more expensive ($21 versus both Birchbox and Ipsy's $10), but the quality is so much better- these are high end brands! I also LOVE the beautiful, high quality boxes they send each month. They are great for drawer organizing or keeping craft products in. Here is a link to my review of my July 2014 box.

SpaRitual Magnify was included in my August 2014 GLOSSYBOX, and I was so excited because I LOVE when subscription boxes include nail polish. It's like they KNOW ME! And isn't Magnify a gorgeous Barbie bubble-gum pink? Application was fabulous, and 2 coats provided perfect coverage.

SpaRitual shades retail for $12.

Disclosure: GLOSSYBOX link is a referral link.

STRANGEBEAUTIFUL COLORBLOC (GLOSSYBOX exclusive)

STRANGEBEAUTIFUL COLORBLOC
(GLOSSYBOX exclusive design)

Description from GLOSSYBOX:
Transforming the color of your nails is in the palm of your hand, pocket, bag and countless other places. Create an effortless moment and restyle your nail color any time and anywhere. STRANGEBEAUTIFUL COLORBLOCs are outstanding for travel and splendid to hold. Comprised of two 4ml bottles of super saturated compelling colors encased in an efficient geometric design.

I received this polish in the June 2014 GLOSSYBOX that I purchased. This was my first time to try a STRANGEBEAUTIFUL product (and BTW I am not a big fan of companies that use all caps for their names.....) and I've got to say, the pigmentation was pretty great. The red shade was almost a one-coater, and the dark blue, although it did need two coats, covered perfectly.

Mr. Sasha did ask me why I had just one nail on each hand painted another color. My explanation of the "accent nail" was lost on him.....

I found this little tidbit on STRANGEBEAUTIFUL's website: STRANGEBEAUTIFUL™ colors are deliberately nameless “I find it thought provoking and stimulating to remember and refer to each color by its reference or inspiration.”

The white cap comes off, leaving two small separate bottles. I was afraid the smaller brushes might cause me application problems, but I didn't have any at all. They are really a cute size and would be nice for travel.
