NOTD: Zoya Matte Posh

Zoya Matte Posh

Girls, I just don't know about this polish.... it was kind of hard to apply, and you can't use a topcoat, and that kind of freaks me out. It does dry awfully fast..... But it was kind of thick and gloppy.

Looking at it today, I do like the way it looks. I am anxious to see how long it lasts without chipping, since other bloggers said it chips pretty quick. I did use Orly Bonder underneath it, although they tell you not to. One blogger said to go ahead and do it because it makes it wear better.

On Zoya's website, they say not to use hand lotion, but that's plum crazy. I applied lotion as usual this AM and also used my CND Cuticle Eraser, and it doesn't look any different... so we shall see. Not sure of the final verdict yet.

That's a pretty color on ya. I'm not a matte fan. I like the shine too much. :) I'd just end up putting a top coat over it which would defeat the purpose of a matte polish. :)

Ooooh ... I love it and hate it at the same time. I'll probably get the grey one from Zoya, and I love love LOVED the pink and green swatches that scrangie did from OPI's mattes (Gargantuan Green Grape and I forget the other) ... I can't imagine these wearing well though. My assumption is that they will rub off on anything you accidentally touch with the back of your nails. These will prob have to be reserved for special occasions, you know, do the nails immediately before going out, change the next day. LOL.

Gosh darnit - I can't see the pic at work! Darn internet security and darn broken home laptop...

Sasha, this is the only matte I ordered from them, so I'm anxious to hear how it wears. I should be getting mine this week. I'm sad to hear about the bad formula - I usually have good success with Zoya's. Boo!

I just love this shade and the matte finish. I wore it for one whole day. I had two chips when I woke up. How could I chip polish when I went to sleep alone? I also wore a base coat. I used ridge filler underneath. I also have to use hand creme. I would feel too weird without it. This looks very pretty on you. I hope you have more luck with this than I did.
