NOTD: Essie Petal Pink

Essie Petal Pink

Today I am wearing another shade from the new Essie Wedding Collection.

Petal Pink is what I wanted OPI Bubble Bath to be- a sheer, almost even, baby pink. For some reason Bubble Bath doesn't suit me, but I think Petal Pink does. I do see some streakiness, but that's to be expected with a polish this sheer.

This is three coats with a top coat of Seche Vite. I did notice some shrinkage on the tips- I painted them last night and took the picture today, and you can already see some tip wear and I certainly haven't done anything to warrant tip wear.

Stay tuned for more shades from the Wedding Collection.

Disclosure: This polish was provided to Sasha by Essie for review purposes.

This color reminds me of Easter for some reason.

Looks nice! I'm looking forward to your review of pillow talk. I am ordering online so swatches are very helpful.

I've found that with my essies that Seche Vite although very glossy and smooth makes the polish peel off very quickly and you are right in that there is tip shrinkage which I guess contributes to the peeling at the tip.

I've found that Essie Good 2 Go fast drying top coat makes the polish last much longer but isn't as thick as seche vite so doesn't look as smooth/glass like although is still very nice and even. I also have started to use Essie First Base Base coat which could be contributing to the longevity of the nail polish. I think the system of essie branded base, nail polish and top coat helps alot.Btw I love your blog!!!
