Barielle Shades Gem Stone Earth Collection

Today I have swatchs of three colors from the Barielle Shades Gem Stone Earth Collection.

Green Opal

When I saw the bottles, I knew I had to swatch this one first. And it did not disappoint!

Here's a shot to show you the detail of the different shimmer colors in this shade- it is absolutely gorgeous- a stunner!

Amber Sparkler

Sadly, this showed my brush strokes. They were just unavoidable.

Granite Glitter

This was definitely my second favorite out of the three.

Again, here's a shot showing the different shimmer colors- so pretty in the sun.

All swatches are two coats and I must say, with the exception of brush strokes in Amber Sparkler, these applied easily and beautifully. The consistency was just about perfect.

Disclosure: These shades were sent to me for review purposes.

Barielle: Karma Kollection of Shades

I was recently given the opportunity to review three shades from Barielle’s new Summer 2011 Karma Kollection of Shades.

Positive ZEN-ergy: Warm mossy green with silver shimmer

Positive ZEN-ergy was the shade I was most excited about, and it did not disappoint! The swatch above is three coats, and it applied beautifully and I thought the silver shimmer was gorgeous, especially in the sun.

Gotta Have Fate; opaque creamy coral

Because of my yellow/light olive complexion I am a suck for a pretty coral. I thought Gotta Have Fate was quite nice and this swatch is also three coats.

Do Unto Others; blue/green jelly cream

I had a little trouble with Do Unto Others, as I typically do with chalky colors. I am just not as good applying them! After the second coat I was worried- it was so streaky! However, after the third coat it even out nicely.

As always, the new Shades by Barielle are considered “pregnancy-safe.” Barielle stands apart as the absolute first to practice a progressive “three-free” philosophy on formulation: none of Barielle’s products contain formaldehyde, toluene, or dibutyl phthalate (DBP) - chemicals that are suspected to be harmful and found in many beauty products. Instead Barielle uses safe, effective and natural alternatives, such as keratin, proteins, vitamins, as well as oil and plant extracts.

Shades by Barielle provide a high-shine glossy coat and forms a protective barrier for a long-lasting finish. The Shades ($8.00 each) are currently buy one get one 50% off at www.barielle.com and at the Barielle Facebook store at www.facebook.com/barielle. Before polishing, be sure your nails are healthy and strong with Barielle’s top selling Nail Strengthener Cream.

Barielle’s story began more than 30 years ago at the Belmont Racetrack. Husband and wife equestrian aficionados devised a breakthrough formula to condition the hooves of their million-dollar thoroughbred racehorses. Reformulated for women and men, the miracle product “Nail Strengthener Cream” was born and Barielle was founded. The Barielle Nail Strengthener Cream, which helps nails grow healthier and stronger while resisting splits, peels, and breaks, remains a best-selling product even today.

Barielle Shades: Holiday Hustle Collection

Shine on this holiday season with six new Barielle Shades that show off your festive tips. The Holiday Hustle Collection brings you new hues combined with flecks of sparkle and metallic shimmer to make you glisten brighter than tinsel.

Step under the mistletoe with Elle’s Spell—a jelly red with multi-colored foil flakes.

I should not have swatched this one last! Since it's a jelly, it was pretty transparent, and you can see the evidence of my long swatching session under my nail tips..... Pretty nonetheless!

Grab some luck with Gelt Me To The Party—a copper bronze metallic.

I did not think I would like this one, as bronze does not usually look good with my skintone, but I really love it!

Stay off the “naughty list” with Coalest Day Of The Year—a carbon gray with white pearls.

Fabulous coverage- almost perfect in one coat, but I did two for good measure.

Tie it in style with Wrap Me In Ribbon—a metallic raspberry with violet and copper pearl undertones.

This was not my favorite shade, but applied nicely.

Cheers to a new year with Jess’ Champagne Toast—a metallic violet with rose gold glitter.

I had the highest hopes for this one, and it didn't disappoint. Gorgeous in the sun.

Bundle up with Snow Day—an ice blue metallic with silver undertones.

Such a pretty silver! Would make a good NYE mani.

Formulated to provide nails with safe, healthy and long-lasting glossy color coverage, Shades by Barielle is free of formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl-phthalate. Women can also safely use Barielle products throughout pregnancy.
