NOTD: OPI Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em

OPI Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em
(2 coats)
from the Texas Collection

I was working on my polish collection spreadsheet and realized I never swatched this one! Half of the Texas collection, which came out in Spring 2011, were jellies (OPI called them "sorbets") and I purchased Big Hair... Big NailsGuy Meets Gal-veston and Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em. I love love love these and couldn't believe I had missed wearing this one.

With just 2 coats, there is a bit of visible nail line, but with the popularity of jellies these days, I'm not as bothered by it as I was in the past. I really like the sheer look right now.

NOTD: OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston

OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston

from the Texas Collection

I am in love with these "sorbets"! The above swatch is four coats, and I'll tell you right now, it's totally worth it to me- I LOVE how this polish looks.

I think they photography really well, and I totally want to point out the white sparklies (forgot the technical name) and tell you I did NOT add those in- that's just the reflection in the sunlight. Gorgeous!

NOTD: OPI Big Hair... Big Nails

OPI Big Hair... Big Nails
from the Texas Collection
(above swatch is three coats)

I tried this polish last week with longer nails and just two coats. It was so sheer that I did not like the look at all- in fact, I didn't even take a pic of it!

With three, it's much better. I think the shorter nails help as well. I've seen a few swatches with four coats, and they look even better, but I just can't go there, so three will do for me.
