OPI You're Such a Budapest

OPI You're Such a Budapest
3 coats
from the Spring 2013 Euro Centrale Collection

Spring! I went into my stash searching for a spring shade and found this one. Isn't it pretty? It did take 3 coats to be completely opaque.

OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours!

OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours!

3 coats
from the 2013 Euro Centrale Collection

OPI says.....  Get the extinguisher…this fiery red is sizzling!

Although I did really like the color, I did NOT like that I needed 3 coats to get even coverage.  With 2 coats there were lots of sheer spots that I wasn't happy with.

OPI Girls Love Diamonds

OPI Girls Love Diamonds (4 coats)
from the Major League Baseball Fashion Plate Collection (Spring 2014)

This is so sheer... I did find I needed 4 thin coats to get close to covering my nail line.

YAY for baseball! Mr. Sasha got me the best early Mother's Day present- a subscription to MLB.com to watch all the Cubs games this season! So excited!

OPI announces the launch of seven new limited edition nail lacquers inspired by Major League Baseball (MLB), marking the first-ever professional sports league licensing agreement for the company. Featuring a range of red, orange, blue and white hues, MLB Collection by OPI shades are ideal to mix, match and wear while fans cheer on their favorite MLB team.

There are seven shades in the collection, and six of them are featured in the Mini Hitters set.

Yay for baseball season! One of my favorite collections of the past was OPI's 2013 Major League Baseball Fashion Plate Collection. I purchased the Mini Hitters set and swatched them all. It's definitely time to get them back out to wear!

Essie Meet Me at the Altar

Essie Meet Me at the Altar
3 coats
from the 2013 Essie Bridal Collection

Meet Me at the Altar is a pastel lilac with a silver shimmer that is just barely noticeable in the sun, very similar to the shimmer in No Baggage Please. The silver shimmer is definitely more noticeable in the bottle. It too needs at least 3 coats, and probably 4 if you want complete opaque coverage.

Essie No Baggage Please

Essie No Baggage Please
3 coats
from the 2013 Essie Bridal Collection

No Baggage Please is a pastel baby pink with a silver shimmer that just barely noticeable in the sun. The silver shimmer is definitely more noticeable in the bottle. It needs at least 3 coats, and probably 4 if you want complete opaque coverage. The pic above is just 3 coats because I get sort of stabby if I have to do 4. :-)

Essie My Better Half

Essie My Better Half
2 coats
from the 2013 Essie Bridal Collection

My Better Half is so pretty and was great color for my Easter mani! Beauty Junkies Unite described it as "medium peony pink base with slight peony pearl" and I think that's a great description. The first coat was somewhat sheer, but a second coat evened it out perfectly and made it opaque.

Essie Using My Maiden Name

Essie Using My Maiden Name
2 coats
from the 2013 Essie Bridal Collection

Using My Maiden Name is GORGEOUS and my nails look like little Easter eggs! I would describe it as periwinkle with a pink microshimmer. The first coat was somewhat sheer, but a second coat evened it out perfectly and made it opaque.
