NOTD: China Glaze Surfin' For Boys

China Glaze Surfin' For Boys
from the Summer Neons collection

I ordered a few shades from the China Glaze Summer Neons collection and was dying to try this one first.

The formula on this is leaps and bounds better than the formula on China Glaze's Poolside collection from 2010.... this applied like a dream, with no white coat needed on bottom to get this great pop of color and great coverage in just two coats.

I think it's the slight hint of shimmer that makes the difference in the formula. Although it dried matte, I used Poshe as my topcoat and it dried super-fast. Scrangie mentioned that hers were too thick and she recommended using thinner first- but I had absolutely no problem with my bottle.

Have you tried any from the Summer Neons collection? What's your favorite? I also ordered Pink Plumeria and Flirty Tankini.

NOTD: MAC So Rich So Pretty

MAC So Rich So Pretty

This shade is from the Alice + Olivia collection from MAC, released earlier this summer. I purchased this online from MAC.

My very first MAC! I am impressed. Although the first coat was terribly streaky, a second coat evened it up, and a third coat completed the opaqueness. The richness of this shade is divine and I can't stop looking at it.

I topped it with Poshe and it dried nicely. I know some people have certain brands they use Poshe with and others they use Seche Vite with, so I'm experimenting with that.

Poshe' Sale at Ulta

I stopped by Ulta yesterday and found they were having a great sale on Poshe' products- buy one get one free! There wasn't an Ulta circular in my paper this Sunday, so I'm not sure if this was advertised or not.

I've been wanting to try their topcoat to see how it compares to my beloved Seche Vite, so I picked up a bottle of that and for my free product I chose the AHA Cuticle Care.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I was testing and comparing the Poshe' Cuticle Care and CND Cuticle Eraser. My final opinion is that I really can't tell much of a difference between the results of the two products- both seem to work equally well. I do prefer the smell and thicker texture of the Cuticle Eraser, but I can certainly use the Poshe' if I get a good price!

Poshe Basecoat and Topcoat

Christine over at 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic has a great post about Poshe base and top coats.

I've never tried these products, but may do so after reading her routine.

Have you had good luck with them, or what products do you use?

By the way, Christine also had a fabulous post about her nail routine. It's a few years old, but fabulous nonetheless. I would love to hear what our readers use in their nail routines.
