Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in Numbskull

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in Numbskull

A few years ago, Sally Hansen released this print for Halloween, and I ordered several boxes because my sorority, Chi Omega, uses the skull and crossbones symbol often and I've got a bit of a soft spot for it. I am so glad I still had a box left to use this year!

It looks like Sally has redesigned the boxes of nail polish strips sometime in the last few years. Although they still seemed to be price around $9-10, they now appear to come with 12 strips rather than the 16 that came in the box above. I was usually able to get 2 complete manis out of each box of 16 since they had them divided into two separate sealed packages of 8, and I am usually able to use both ends of several of the strips to make a set of 8 cover all 10 nails. The new box would mean I would just get 1 mani of out a box. However, I still consider these to be a pretty good value if you are like me and not artistic at all- these are a quick and easy way to have a mani with some nail art.
Sadly, Numbskull appears to be a discontinued print. Luckily I still have some sealed packages to save for future year!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips in Are You Single?

Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips in Are You Single?

I am having some eye trouble this week.... I have got an eye infection and am not able to wear my contacts. The glasses I have are too strong, so they make it hard to see well up close. Therefore, I did a terrible job applying these last night!

I tried to clean up a bit using a small brush and acetone, but that didn't seem to work well at all. It sort of made the strips bunch up where I tried to clean up around my cuticles. I called it good after messing with a few fingers.

But I love the print! So so cute.

So pardon my application please! Hoping to be back in contacts tomorrow.

Swatches: Halloween Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips

Have you seen the new 2012 Halloween prints for the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips? They are SO cute! Today I've got two of the prints to show you and will have the other two I have to show you in the next few days.

 Batty For You

How Corny

I always get better results and find the lighter background prints to be easiest to apply, so How Corny is my favorite of the two shown above. I liked Batty For You as well, but the darker background prints require a little more patience since it really shows if you don't get perfect application on the tips. I think I did a good job, but I spent a bit more time with Batty For You than I did with How Corny. Both are so fun and I got quite a few "How cute!" comments when people saw my nails.
