Sephora by OPI Safari Luxe Collection

I just spied a new collection on Sephora.... the Safari Luxe Collection.

From the website:
Inspired by animal-print fabrics, snakeskin pumps, and stacks of gold bracelets, Sephora by OPI's new Safari Luxe collection takes after one of the hottest trends to hit the runways: safari chic. "We came up with a nail lacquer collection as stylish and fun as the trend itself," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI VP and Artistic Director. "And just like a leopard-print scarf spices up an outfit, each summery shade adds instant edginess to your wardrobe."

I love Sephora by OPI polishes and am dying for this set.... but I need it like I need a hole in the head! Be strong Sasha!

China Glaze Island Escape collection: Skittle Swatches

China Glaze Island Escape collection

Take an exotic island escape with China Glaze this summer with a tropical, shimmering rainbow of brilliant bright colors! Mix and match these hot hues to add a candy-like pop to that summer manicure and pedicure.

Left to right:

  • Cha Cha Cha: Vivacious shimmer green

  • 108 Degrees: Flirtatious berry pink with specks of micro glitter

  • Papaya Punch: Crème based vivid orange

  • Electric Pineapple: High intensity crème based lime green

Left to right, alternating:

  • Senorita Bonita: Passionate purple shimmer with pink micro glitter

  • Blue Iguana: Bold and daring sparkly blue

All swatches are three coats. The two creams, Papaya Punch and Electric Pineapple, definited needed three to be opaque. The shimmers, with the exception of Blue Iguana, were good in three coats. Blue Iguana most likely needed one more coat to help with VNL.

Overall, I was very pleased with this collection. I had no application problems with any of the colors.

NOTD: Zoya Dannii

Zoya Dannii

I'm going to need some help here.... what base/top coats do you use with your Zoyas?

I am getting shrinkage and also some denting the next day..... almost like it's not completely dry.

I did my normal routine:

1. Orly Bonder

2. Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle

3. 2 coats of color

4. Seche Vite

I do have the Zoya Colorlock system, but heard it takes a while to dry so I haven't tried it.

Any tips?

China Glaze Crackle Glaze

You know the best thing about the new crackle/shatter polish trend?

It can save a bad mani!

On Monday, I painted my nails with Lancome's Violet Groove, and I hated it! The polish was thick and goopy, which no new polish should be, and the purple cream polish did nothing for my skin.

So I grabbed my bottle of China Glaze Fault Line (sent to me for review purposes) and volia! Much better!

And the same thing happened last night... I painted my nails with Avon's new Breast Cancer Awareness color, Pink Power, and yuck. It looked terrible on me!

But with a coat of China Glaze Cracked Concrete (sent to me for review purposes), it was instantly cooler!

Have you gotten on board with the crackle/shatter trend?
