NOTD: Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips in Girl Flower

Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips in Girl Flower

I've been dying to try these, but for one reason or another, hadn't gotten around to it. Now that I have The Spring Fever, I thought it was a perfect time to use them.

I LOVE that the pattern is forgiving..... if you look closely at the tips, you can see that I didn't do that well at ripping off the extra... but since the pattern is varied and has some white flowers, it's not that big of a deal. In person, you cannot tell at all.

Application time took me about 18 minutes, and I imagine it would be less next time now that I know which sizes fit my nails.

I can't remember exactly what I paid, but I believe I got these in a BOGO 1/2 price sale... I also have Misbehaved.

I added a top coat of Revlon ColorStay in clear because I heard that a topcoat extends the wear.

I will definitely report back and let you know how long they last for me.

NOTD: China Glaze Ahoy!

China Glaze Ahoy!

I love this color so much that I did two manis in a row with it, as well as used it on my toes. So pretty! (And Mr. Sasha said he really like it as well, since it was a "normal color".)

NOTD: Sephora by OPI Shiny Dancer

Sephora by OPI Shiny Dancer

The above swatch is just two coats, and I think it would have been better with 3. I took this photo on day 2 after a day of paper shuffling, and you can see some tip wear. I think another coat might have helped.

Ooooh ... Sparkles!!

Doesn't this color remind you of the gorgeous waters off a tropical island?
Aaaahh ... take me away!
Base (one coat) - OPI Get Me To The Taj On Time (a creamy nude)
Glitter Goodness (2 coats) - Color Club Sexy Siren

My latest pedicure ... I love how the nail techs look at me like I am crazy sometimes. They tell me that I pick the colors that barely get used. I adore the bright colors, especially the blues. They make me smile!

Cult Nails Iconic and My Kind of Cool Aid

Today I have two shades I recently purchased from Cult Nails to show you.

Cult Nails was the dream of nail blogger R3 Daily otherwise known as Maria Morrison. Ever since Maria was a little girl she loved nail polish and all things nail related. Maria knew when she grew up she would work in the nail industry. Of course at the time she thought she would be doing nails in her own salon. Life however had other plans for Maria. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Human Resources. While her career took a detour, Maria's passion for doing her nails and those of her friends continued. If Maria couldn't find the color she was looking for, she would mix colors together to get the right look. Maria started her blog R3daily in January 2010 and her passion continued to grow and so did her polish collection. After a while though Maria realized that most polish companies were coming out with similar colors each season and still she was mixing colors to achieve her desired look. Maria finally took matters into her own hands and has developed a line that doesn't just follow nail and fashion trends, but blends the fashion trends to blaze the way for new and innovative polish colors for polish fanatics everywhere.

Maria didn't stop there, her goal is to have a green company. Her polish is B3 Free which means they don't contain Toulene, Formaldehyde and Dibutyl. But she didn't stop there, Cult Nails Polish also doesn't contain Phthalate or Camphor. Cult Nails is a Cruelty Free company and does not test on animals or use products that are tested on animals or that are animal byproducts. All polish is Vegan friendly. In keeping with our green initiatives all packaging is recyclable and some even reusable. We use only recycled boxes to ship our polish that can be reused or recycled by the consumer and utilize cotton balls for our packaging materials. This not only allows the polish to be protected during shipment, but supplies our customers with some of the materials needed to remove their old polish once our product arrives! The cotton ball initiative, as we like to call it, was a concept from Maria's 12 year old daughter.

While the initial brand debut is a small limited collection, our goal is to bring you more amazing colors each fashion season creating a Cult following worldwide
.

Cult Nails My Kind of Cool Aid

a purple/gray, described as "gravender", creme polish with a delicate shimmer. Preppy yet edgy, MKoCA is taking the world by storm. Cult Nails released My Kind of Cool Aid as its very first color January 11, 2011 initiating a following world-wide.

Cult Nails Iconic

a deep berry creme with gorgeous red flakes and hidden gold shimmer throughout. Iconic is destined to become an instant classic.

Both of these applied wonderfully in just two coats. I absolutely love the idea of supporting a fellow nail-blogger! Congrats to Maria on starting her own nail polish business- I am so impressed!

Stayed tuned for swatches of the other two colors, Living Water and Quench.

NOTD: China Glaze Below Deck

China Glaze Below Deck
from the Anchors Away Collection
The above swatch is two coats and I really like this shade. I need to get out Sephora by OPI Metro Chic and see how it compares... there is also a Confetti shade that I bet is similar.

NOTD: Sephora by OPI Gleek Out

Sephora by OPI Gleek Out from the Glee collection
A glittery lime green that will have everyone singing your praises
A fashion-forward, wearable nail color inspired by GLEE character Kurt Hummel

This is available as both an individual polish for $9.50, or as part of the six set of minis for $24.

I worked a long day today and was losing the sun, so I had to snap a quick pic after work, so please forgive the quality and lack of bottle in the pic.

The above swatch is three coats and it covered quite nicely- better than I expected.

This was the last shade for me to swatch in the collection, and I'd like to put together a post tomorrow with all the swatches in one post. I have enjoyed this collection so much! Maybe I'm biased since I love the show, but I thought the shades in this grouping were fabulous and quite wearable.
