NOTD: Essie Lapis of Luxury

Essie Lapis of Luxury

This is absolutely gorgeous! I did do three coats becuase I felt like it needed it to cover the VNL, but it was worth it- what a great spring color. I use SV as a topcoat when I painted them before bed, and woke up to absolutely no shrinkage. And I spent the day paper-shuffling, and got no tip wear..... love it!

Here we go again ...

I had my tips taken off ... again. But this time, we did an overlay (which is just a fancy way of saying we left a thin layer of acrylic over the top of my nails). This is keeping them from splitting and tearing while they are in the grow-out phase. Although, I am not quite sure what the difference is having an overlay vs. tips - I still need to have them filled either way. Sigh. The woes of desiring strong nails. Ha ha!
So with the colorful tips being gone, I wanted to keep a natural look with a little girly sparkle. Please forgive me as I totally forgot to check the color name. I will totally look that up next time I am in.

I also got a pedicure while I was there ... tis the season, right? Yay for flip flop weather! I (unintentionally) matched my toe color to my BlackBerry when I mixed 2 colors. OPI's Plugged-In Plum (bottom coat) and China Glaze's Anklets of Amethyst (top coat) created this shimmery color. Sometimes the nail techs look at me like I am crazy, but I have found some pretty great color combos!

NOTD: Sephora by OPI Metro Chic

Sephora by OPI Metro Chic

Finally decided to order this cult favorite. I found it to be a bit thin, so this was a three-coater. It took me a while to come around to this shade family, but I really do like it.

I think it looks, well, chic!

This is three coats, topped with Seche Vite, and is an indoor pic since I missed the sun today.

NOTD: L'oreal Target Red

L'oreal Target Red

Can you believe it? My perfect color! I spend so much time and money at Target that's it very appropriate that I wear a nail polish named after it! Look at the cute Target logo on the bottle!

I was so glad that it was a dream to apply- two coats topped with Seche Vite and I got full coverage that was dry to the touch in minutes.

Disclosure: This polish was provided to me by a PR company for review purposes.

NOTD: OPI Black Cherry Chutney

OPI Black Cherry Chutney

I absolutely adore look-black-but-when-you-get-closer-it's-something-else polishes, and Black Cherry Chutney is one of them. It's very hard to capture in pics, but it has a goregous maroon shimmer in the sun. See it above?

That swatch is two coats topped with Seche Vite.

L'Oreal Target Red

This new collection from L'Oreal is available at Target (I spotted the nail polish Wednesday) and I am dying to give it a try! Although I love spring colors, I am a sucker for a good red.

NOTD: Sephora by OPI Leaf Him at the Altar

Sephora by OPI Leaf Him at the Altar

I am SO glad it's spring! This color makes me so glad for nice weather! Mr. Sasha said "Is that green you are wearing?" I said "Yup." He said "Huh......" Guess he's never seen me in green.

But I do love it. As with all the $OPIs, application was great. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite.
