Welcome to Fun with Layering Friday. Today's edition will
feature the glitters from the new OPI Burlesque collection.
All swatches below are two coats of the base color under two coats of the glitter.
All these shots, except one, are shade shots. I felt they
better showed the coordination of the glitter to the base colors.
Click to enlarge and see how well the glitters coordinate with the cremes. Please excuse the state of my ring finger in the right hand shots as my eczema is acting up again.
First up is Bring on the Bling. It's layered over Cheeky Monkey's Brazen Hussy and China Glaze's Liquid Leather (I so need to get OPI's Black Onyx):

First up is Bring on the Bling. It's layered over Cheeky Monkey's Brazen Hussy and China Glaze's Liquid Leather (I so need to get OPI's Black Onyx):
This was a hard one to match up. I went with black as it's an easy go to for layering a glitter on top. I picked Brazen Hussy as I could see some flecks of purple in the gold.Next up we have Glow Up Already! layered over OPI's Who the Shrek Are You? and China Glaze's Liquid Leather:
This one was pretty easy to match. Who the Shrek Are You? was the only green I had that even remotely matched color-wise. Again I went with the go to black for ease.
Third is Extra-va-vaganza layered over OPI's Chop-sticking to My Story and DS Radiance:
Finally we have Sparkle-icious layered over OPI's Funky Dunkey and Ogre-the-Top Blue:

Third is Extra-va-vaganza layered over OPI's Chop-sticking to My Story and DS Radiance:
Since the orange in Extra-va-vaganza looked darker to me, I thought Chop-sticking to My Story was a better option than Flit-a-Bit, A Good Mandarin is Hard to Find, or Hot & Spicy. I think it blended in quite nicely, so I'd be inclined to say I was right. The silver was a given as it was the other more prominent glitter in the bottle.
Fourth is Simmer & Shimmer layered over OPI's Ogre-the-Top Blue and DS Radiance:
On Facebook, OPI suggests layering Show It and Glow It! over Louvre Me Louvre Me Not or Ate Berries in the Canaries. I don't have either of those purples (and I think SI&GI is more of a fuchsia than true purple), so I went with the closest purple I had, hence Brazen Hussy. The colors were a perfect match and I think Show It and Glow It! looks perfect over both that and DS Radiance.Fourth is Simmer & Shimmer layered over OPI's Ogre-the-Top Blue and DS Radiance:
Finally we have Sparkle-icious layered over OPI's Funky Dunkey and Ogre-the-Top Blue:

Everyone stresses that Sparkle-icious is a perfect Mardi Gras glitter. The only problem with that is there isn't any purple glitter in the bottle! To alleviate that problem, I layered it over Funky Dunkey, thus adding in the missing purple. It totally pops and now really is perfect for Mardi Gras. As Sparkle-icious has blue glitter in it, I went for Ogre-the-Top Blue which was a perfect match.
Obviously these are just a small representation of colors you could use to layer these glitters. Feel free to experiment as you wish to come up with combinations perfect for you!
Y'all have a great weekend!

Love all the different layering combinations. I have to buy every one of these glitters. Not that I need another glitter!
