Zoya Wicked Collection Review

Happy Wednesday y'all!

If you missed my review of the Wonderful Collection, click here to see it.

Today for you, I have the Fall 2010 Wicked Collection from Zoya.

The Wicked collection consists of 6 sparkling metallics that fall in perfectly
with the great quality we've come to appreciate from Zoya nail polish.

Everything you see below is 2 coats over a base coat. I tried to get sun shots, but we've been battling major rain here in MD, so I did the best I could. I used a different matte polish for these than I did for the Wonderful collection. It worked much better.

First up today, Edyta:

Edyta is described as a "fern green sparkling metallic".

Edyta matte:

Edyta Sliwinska is the only professional dancer to appear in all 10 seasons of DWTS. Thus begins your DWTS useless trivia knowledge need for today. :)

Edyta is GORGEOUS but it's extremely hard to capture all the beauty in pictures. It has serious gold undertones, and when the light hits it right, they just pop! When matted, all it loses is it's shine. Everything else is still there. This color was one of my favorites from both collections.

Next up, Julieanne:

Julieanne is described as a "byzantium purple sparkling metallic".

Julieanne matte:

Professional dancer Julianne Hough is a 2 time DWTS winner. Even though the name is spelled different, I'm going with her as the inspiration for the name of this polish.

Julieanne is my favorite color of both collections. The purple is deep, the sparkle is prominent, and the application is perfect! Removal is a breeze, which is really pleasing as it's so richly pigmented. Zoya hit it out of the park with this one!

Third we have Cheryl:

Cheryl is described as a "chocolate bronze sparkling metallic".

Cheryl matte:

Professional dancer Cheryl Burke is also a 2 time DWTS winner.

Guys, do you see the red glitter/sparkle in this polish? BEAUTIFUL! It's like dark auburn hair in the sun; you know it's brown, but you can see all the red highlights when the light hits it! The red is still visible when matte too. Another of my favorites! ;) If applied correctly, Cheryl could almost be a one-coat wonder.

Fourth we have Karina:

Karina is described as a "garnet red sparkling metallic".

Karina matte:

Karina Smirnoff is a professional dancer on DWTS.
She looks hot in the dancing costumes, but has never won the competition. Oh well.

My Karina bottle was broken at the neck when it arrived, so I had to be extra careful in application. I'm not sure if the broken bottle had any effect or not, but this polish was very thick and almost goopy. It was hard to get a smooth coat. Removal was a mess, as it left behind lots of red polish residue.

Fifth is Carrie Ann:

Carrie Ann is described as a "venetian red sparkling metallic".

Carrie Ann matte:

Carrie Ann Inaba is a judge on DWTS. She also appeared in the latter 2
Austin Powers movies, and was a fly girl on In Living Color for the first 3 seasons.

Carrie Ann is a deeply pigmented red that surprised me in how much I liked it. It's like a sparkle filled, slightly darker version of Kristi from the Wonderful collection. Unlike Kristi, Carrie Ann stained my fingers upon removal.

Finally, Kym:

Kym is described as a "cardinal mauve sparkling metallic".

Kym matte:

Kym Johnson is the only professional dancer to win 2 DWTS
titles in 2 different countries; Australia and the United States.

Kym is a deeper red with brown thrown in for good measure. The color is pretty, but like the previous reds in this collection, it stained my fingers upon removal.

Every one of these polishes dried incredibly quickly, as we've come to expect with Zoya. The sparkle was incredible and aside from Karina, none of the other polishes were too thick or too thin during application. Other than the red polish removal problems previously mentioned, removal was extremely easy.

Both the Wonderful and Wicked collections are available now on the Zoya website.

You could always send some of that rain my way. I'd love it to help cool things down a little bit here.

Julieanne would be my favorite out of the two collections also. Purple is one of my favorite colors.

I really liked Karina and Carrie Ann too.
