China Glaze Vintage Vixen Preview-Part 1

This collection arrived via Fed-Ex on Monday, and I've
been hurrying to get them swatched so you can enjoy.

The colors in this collection are incredible! All 12 have either a shimmer or glitter in them. They are all absolutely beautiful, and a perfect fit for this fall.

Below are the six colors I will be showing you today.

From L to R: Riveter Rogue, Foxy, Goin' My Way?,
Classic Camel, Swing Baby, and Ingrid

All swatches are 2 coats, in full sunlight, without a top coat.

First up, Riveter Rogue:

Riveter Rogue is described as a "deep red shimmer".

Riveter Rogue matte:

Of all the collection, I liked this one the least. The color is pretty, don't get me wrong; I actually really liked the way it looked. My problem is that it was chunky on the nail. You can see it very clearly in the first picture if you make it larger. I can't stand chunky polish, so even with a pretty color, this was a no-go for me.


Up next, Foxy:

Foxy is described as a "burgundy frost with shimmer"

Foxy Matte:

I LOVED the way this looked! It was truly beautiful, and
when matted it was even more gorgeous!


Third, Goin' My Way?:

Goin' My Way? is described as a "brown frost with copper shimmer"

Goin' My Way? matte:

This color reminded me of a horse I loved. It looked almost exactly like this in color. Kinda chestnut, kinda brown, kinda beautiful! The shine is so intense. Gorgeous!


Fourth up, Classic Camel:

Classic Camel is described as a "khaki crème with gold micro glitter"

Classic Camel matte:

I wasn't too fond of this color, regular or matted. It reminded me of golden mustard and that just made me hungry. I don't like mustard at all, so it was just a little weird.


Fifth, Swing Baby:

Swing Baby is described as a "taupe frost with silver micro glitter"

Swing Baby matte:

This color was one of my favorites! It is so sparkly, I kept getting lost in the shine of my nails. I easily get distracted when I see shiny things, so this fell under that category. It kind of reminds me of the matte polishes ORLY put out recently, only this is prettier; and not matte unless you make it so!


Finally, Ingrid:

Ingrid is described as a " 'Greige' crème with copper micro glitter"

Ingrid matte:

I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did. It was hard to really capture the pretty that this color is. "Greige" sounds so icky, but I didn't think so once I got it on the nail. The subtle sparkle was just enough to make this polish not boring at all.
