First up, Ms. Socialite:

Ms. Socialite Matte

Ms. Socialite is a rich dark purple, that oddly enough, I really liked.

Next, Rebel Debutante:

Rebel Debutante Matte

Rebel Debutante is the namesake of this entire line. Most reviews I've read say that this polish, and the next one, are what make the line. To each his own, I guess. Rebel Debutante is a very loud green. I don't own anything remotely like it, but I did like how it looked on my nails. I think the Matte version may be a dupe for OPI's Gargantuan Green Grape Matte. Anyone able to do a comparison?

Finally, Gossip Column:

Gossip Column Matte

Gossip Column is blue. Not a bright, in your
face blue, but a deeper, not quite royal blue.
I really liked how this color looked too, by not enough
to think it's the be all, end all color many others do.

Some general opinions of this Color Club line:
  • application was pretty easy. The colors went on smooth with no real problems
  • while the color applied smooth, streaks were a big issue. Three coats were necessary due to the streakiness of the first two coats
  • dry time and removal were all pretty quick, except for the removal of Gossip Column. That polish was a bear to remove, even though I had a base coat on my nails
  • while I appreciate the opportunity to try and review these polishes, I personally wouldn't have run out to buy them. There were a few stand-outs for me: Best Dressed List, Uptown Girl, and High Society; but not enough for me to buy the whole set. Single bottles would be more than sufficient
  • the press release I received claims that there are 3 lip glosses that compliment the nail polishes. I didn't receive any of them, so I have no opinion of those
  • Color Club polishes are DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde free and are sold in professional salons everywhere.
  • you can also find Color Club polishes at various e-tailers online

Ms. Socialite is SO pretty! I don't think I've ever heard of this brand before.

Thanks for the swatches!

I think that I've made up my mind that I pretty much like this whole collection. I'm still debating on the lime green and how I would pull it off though. They all look so nice on you.
