January Colors of the Week

Due to my laziness, this post is picture heavy.
That is your warning. :)

I usually do a Color of the Week post each week.

Unfortunately in January, I was so busy swatching for reviews/previews that I didn't write one single Color of the Week post.

That doesn't mean I didn't actually have a new polish each week. :)

Come on now, you know I did!

Here, in order of weeks, are all the January Colors of the Week.

Week 1: Jan. 3-Jan. 9

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Almond Crunch

Both pictures above are outside, 3 coats.

Week 2: Jan. 10-Jan. 16

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Violet Sparks

Both pictures above are outside, 3 coats.

Week 3: Jan. 17-Jan. 23

OPI DS Original

Outside, 3 coats

Pinky-1 coat, ring-2 coats, middle-3 coats, index-matte

Indoors, 3 coats

Both pictures above are indoor in sunlight-3 coats
Look at all that holographic loveliness!

Week 4: Jan. 24-Jan. 30

LA Colors Electrified

Both pictures above are outdoors in sun, 2 coats.

Here's the really cool thing about this polish;
it's like I had two colors in one polish.
When I used remover it stripped away the first layer,
revealing a second layer underneath.
It went from pink to silver!

I decided to only remove some of the pink layer
to give my nails a marbled look, without the use of water.

I think it worked.

and close up so you can even see the thumbs

Unless someone out there has prior knowledge,
I'll have to buy more of these polishes next year
to see if they're all like this. If so, too cool!

I received this one for Christmas from M.
I think she spent around $2 for it.
Inexpensive and versatile! Woot!

P.S. I promise I won't do this in February.
I'll be back to regular weekly posting.

Looking at the bottle, I didn't think I'd really care for it but once I saw it on your nails, my favorite of the four shown here is DS Original. Very pretty!

I also like how Electrified changed colors when you went to take it off! Very cool!
