Essie Berry Hard and follow up pics of Claire's green

I got my VERY FIRST Essies the other day! I stopped in to Ross Sunday night to hunt for Color Club sets (other bloggers have found them there). I didn't find any, but I DID happen upon a set with 2 Essie reds and a mini Fill the Gap. It was KILLING me to wait a whole day to redo my nails, but I didn't have time Sunday night ... had to wait until last night.

So here it is, Essie Berry Hard ...

Once again, I'll have to follow up with sunlight pics, but these are definitely true to the indoors look of Berry Hard. A dark, vampy brown toned red. The first coat went on really thin and streaky, and had a violetish hue, but the second coat went on smooth and thick. Easy to control ... a dream. Even though the polish was drying quickly and with a high shine on it's own, I added a layer of SV because it was super late and I had to get to bed. Complete mani included Orly Bonder, Fill the Gap, 2 coats Berry Hard and 1 coat Seche Vite.

I know it has been a mere 24 hours since I did my nails, but listen ... I spent the ENTIRE day moving files around (we have to rotate our patient files every year to make room for the new year) which meant assembling cardboard boxes, struggling to squeeze just a few more in each, scraping my nails against metal file cabinet dividers, shoving my fingers into file jackets, etc, etc, etc, and that's not even to mention the typing ... I had a HEAVY nail abuse day, and these pics were taken only about an hour ago. There is MINOR tip damage and that is IT. The shine is still all there (except my middle finger of my right hand, it was a tragic incident ...), and the polish feels ultra smooth and hard. I love it. Worth every penny. I hope the other one performs just as well.

OK, next I have the sunlight pics of the Claire's minis from my last post. I think instead of Emerald City, I want to call the green We're Off to See the Wizard! LOL!

Check it out:

And here's the pink, which ended up darkening to a very orangy, reddish pink.

Aaaand ... just because I want to ... Check out my cluttered sink! Things just lay around in it allll the time ...

LOL! Silly kitty! (That's my cat, Grapefruit. He's a 10 year old grump who thinks he owns the place)

I'm diggin' the Essie Hard Berry, especially since it stood up so well after a full day of abuse!

That Claire's green woul go nicely with Essie Wild Thing for Christmas colors.

Love that picture of your kitty sitting in the sink! lol

Love your grump! Cute picture. Love the Hard Berry on you. Pretty shade. That green is just what was needed for the China Glaze collection.
