OPI Don't Socra-Tease Me

I have mixed feelings about OPI's Don't Socra-Tease Me. I DO like the color, I just don't think it's for me. I'm not much into reds. This red is different though. It definitely leans orange, and has a pink flash in certain lights. Application was pretty tough. I had to re-dip the brush 2, sometimes 3 times to get each nail covered. I don't think I've ever experienced that with an OPI. This bottle was brand new too, so it wasn't old and thick or anything. Application complaints aside, the color is nice and even. I used 2 coats, and it's still slightly sheer. I didn't realize this until I went outside though. It's the tiniest bit streaky. I guess that's because it's a pearlized finish. *shrug*

I still think it's a very pretty color! Sorry the application wasn't too good. Did it have the Pro-Wide brush?

Looks pretty on you. Sorry you had such problems. I don't have this color. Isn't it nice to have somewhere to share polish problems? I love it and am glad of these blogs. Thank you all.

That looks pretty, although I hate to hear you had application problems.

You picture looks great! Did you figure out the macro settings on your camera?

It wasn't the pro-wide brush, but I typically don't prefer the larger brush, so who knows. It was just weird. Thanks for the compliments on the color! I like it, it's just not a *me* color, ya know?

Sasha, I've been using macro for most of my shots. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not. It's a crappy kodak that I bargain hunted for $4 (yes, FOUR) from CVS just before xmas, then promptly broke the screen in February while snow tubing. Slick, huh? So, I take several mystery shots and pick the best one after I upload them, LOL!! I have to deal until I can bargain hunt something just as cheap (or someone buys me one or something, LOL!).
